Willie Mae King

Willie Mae Caldwell King, 67, of 3453 New Leicester Highway, Leicester, died Saturday, December 18, 2004, at her home. Mrs. King was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Lee and Susie Sweeden Caldwell. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Mac Donald King; three daughters, Kathy Cason and her husband Randy of Leicester, Peggy Capley of Leicester and Shelby Sentelle and her husband John of Brevard; two sons, Joe King and his wife Jane and Jerry King and his wife Kathy, all of Asheville; two sisters, Anna Belle Roberts and her husband Rex of Weaverville and Judy Lineberry and her husband Evelyn of Siler City; three brothers, Carl Caldwell and his wife Evon, Francis Caldwell and his wife Ann, and Howard Caldwell, all of Siler City; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating. Burial will be at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert, Roger, Randy and Jason King, Jeremy Reece and Michael Rathburn. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home.
