William Evans

William "Bill" Evans Arden- William "Bill" Evans, 93, of Arden, died Monday, February 28, 2011 at Chunns Cove Assisted Living Center. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Arthur and Ellen Evans. Bill was also preceded in death by four sisters; Addie, Allie, Effie and Irene as well as one brother, Clarence. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Jean Tschiffely and her husband, Wilson, of Arden. The family will receive friends from 1:00–1:30 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. A graveside service will follow at 1:45 PM at New Salem Cemetery with Reverend Cecil Robinson officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
