William Edward (Bill) Bissinger, 95, of Emerald Ridge Care Center, Woodfin, passed away Friday, August 15, 2003, surrounded by his family.
Bill, a 17-year resident of Asheville, was retired from Consolidated Edison of New York.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marjorie G. Bissinger; two sons, Roger Bissinger and his wife Louise and Alan Bissinger and his wife Misako; two brothers, John and Edward Bissinger; six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 31, 2003, at Groce United Methodist Church with the Reverend Carl Johnson officiating. His family will greet friends following the service.
