Born in: Henderson County, North Carolina
Resided in: Henderson County, North Carolina

William Russell “Bill” Youngblood, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 8, 2026. He was a lifelong resident of Hoopers Creek in Henderson County, North Carolina.

For four decades, Bill was the co-owner of Youngblood Builders. His work can be seen throughout Henderson and Buncombe counties, where many homes were built by his own hands. In his younger days, it was nothing for Bill to hand-hammer 50 pounds of nails in a single day. He poured his love, pride, and craftsmanship into every home he helped build, leaving behind a legacy that will stand for generations.

When he wasn’t working, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Those who knew him best will fondly remember finding him on the front porch, drinking a Red Bull, having a smoke, and enjoying the company of the people he loved.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Silvers Youngblood; his children, Mona Youngblood Williams (Derek), William A. “Tony” Youngblood (Tracie), and Eddie Youngblood (Cristy), all of Hoopers Creek; his grandchildren, Colton Williams (April), Elizabeth Pressley (Dooley), Taylor Youngblood, Dakota Youngblood (Matana), Tekoa Youngblood (Caleb),and Savanna Youngblood; and his great-grandchildren, Peyton, Davanee, Tillie Short, and Scarlett Pressley. The family is also joyfully awaiting the birth of his great grandson , Timber Boone Youngblood.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Russ and Eddie Barnwell Youngblood; his brothers, Joseph “Bud” Youngblood, Earl Youngblood, and Graden Youngblood; and his sisters, Nora “Bouncer” McCraw, Mae “Tootsie” Dalton, and Louise “Babe” Ball.

Bill’s life was built upon faith, hard work, simple pleasures, and devotion to those closest to him. His strong hands helped build homes for countless families, but his greatest legacy will always be the family he loved, the memories he created, and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
