William "Bill" Eugene Moore

William Eugene Moore went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 16, 2026. Bill was born on May 8, 1941, in Fairview, NC, to Clinton Foy Moore and Mary Gladys Dotson Moore, who preceded him in death. Bill’s brother, John Samuel Moore, also preceded him in death. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his deep faith in God, generous heart, and love for those around him.

Bill was a highly skilled and dedicated bench jeweler at Wick and Greene Jewelers in Asheville, NC, where he worked from 1965 until 2008. Over the years, his work touched many lives, and the people he served appreciated not only his exceptional talent but also the care he put into everything he did.

Bill dearly loved his family and found great joy in their lives. He treasured every moment they shared, from special gatherings to simple times together. His kindness, laughter, generosity, and love touched all who knew him.

Even through the challenges of Parkinson’s disease, Bill remained grateful and steadfast in his faith, praising God for His many blessings.

We will deeply miss Bill, but are grateful for the many cherished memories he leaves behind. His love and gentle spirit will remain in our hearts. We find comfort in knowing that his faith carried him home to his Lord, and we look forward to the day we will be reunited with him in Heaven.

Bill is survived by his brother, Bobby Clinton Moore (Libby), of Fairview, NC, and his sister-in-law, Diane Moore, of Asheville. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Saturday, September 26th, at Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian location, 72 Long Shoals Rd. Arden, NC 28704. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m., led by Bill’s dear friend, Rev. Norris Wright.

The graveside service will be held immediately following the service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairview, NC. All are invited to attend.
