Wilburn "Buster" Lindsey, 56, of Candler, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at St. Joseph campus of Mission Hospitals.
A native of Lenoir, NC, and a life-long resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Wilburn Lindsey, Sr. and Magaline Shelton Lindsey. He was also preceded in death by an uncle, Hubert Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey was employed by Philips Products and was a US Armed Forces veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Willis Lindsey; daughters, Tricia Ann Lindsey, Heather V. Lindsey and Lori Lindsey; step-daughters, Lisa M. Bailey and husband Steve and Tina E. King and husband Sam; eight grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Lindsey; aunt, Grace Lindsey; cousins, Michael and Tommy Lindsey.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Pastors Sam King and Willard Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
