ATC Walter Carolton Graham, 74, US Navy (Ret.), of Easley, died Friday, June 1st, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born March 27, 1933, to the late Emerson Carolton and Edna Rowe Graham, Walter was a 23 year veteran of the United States military, worked with Memorial Mission Hospitals for 13 years and worked with Tultex for 10 years. He was a good, hard-working man who retired to the Avery’s Creek area in 1974. He lived his life as a devoted patriotic citizen of the country he loved and defended.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Ruth Posey Graham; two daughters, Gayle Anne Graham of Fletcher and Florence Rose Graham of Travelers Rest, SC.; a son, James Posey of Ocoee, FL.; four sisters, Caroline Lambert of NJ., Flora G. Dierbach of IL., Alice G. Moore of FL, and Janet G. Kowalick of FL.; and a brother, Melvin Graham of PA.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5th, from 6-8:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Roberts Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Rearden officiating.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the families of all our “Water Warriors” serving our country in this time of world turmoil.
