         Virginia Franc Clark Keiser, 74, of Asheville and Fort Pierce, FL, died Thursday,
December 10, 1998, in an Asheville hospital.

     Mrs. Keiser was born in Rochester, NY, and was a daughter of the late Harold and Blanche Haire Clark.  She sang for 17 years with the Sweet Adelines and she was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.  For the past 17 years she and Mr. Keiser wintered at the Road Runner Inn at Fort Pierce.  She was a member of Skyland United Methodist Church, Asheville.

     She enjoyed reading, golf, travel, crafts, and the ocean, and celebrated her 50th anniversary with her husband George E. Keiser, on a cruise over Thanksgiving.  She was one of six generations that has attended Clarkson Church in Clarkson, NY.  She was preceded in death by a son, Gene William Flagg and a sister, Jean Hoyt.

     In addition to her husband, she is survived  two daughters, Cheryl Lynn Stafford, and her husband Pete, and Jan Coin;  a daughter-in-law, Marsha Flagg;   two sisters, Mary Ellen Delehanty and Kathryn Ellis;  a brother, Roger Clark and his wife Anna;  ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm Sunday at Skyland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Arnie Corriher officiating.  Burial will be at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard, Fletcher.

     Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

     Memorials may be made to Skyland United Methodist Church or to ABCCM.

     Groce Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
