Truman Leo Case, “Casey”, 73, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Case was born in Bryson City to the late Charles Harvey Case and Beulah Disney Case. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Roy Case and Troy Case. Casey was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from G & B Energy. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather and friend to many. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his life-long partner and wife of 42 years, Carolyn Moore Case; three children, Dustin Case of Ozark, AL, Tammy Jolley of Duncan, SC and Kristen Case of Mills River; two brothers, James Disney of Knoxville, TN and Delbert Case and his wife, Harriet of Columbus, NC; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Gilead Bapitst Church with Pastor Robert Ponder officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 2:00 on Monday. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church “Cemetery Fund”, 28 Mt. Gilead Church Rd., Mills River, NC 28759.
