Arden ~ Tommy Allen Davis, 58, of Old Shoals Road, died Monday, June 7, 2004 in a local hospital. A native of Haywood County, Mr. Davis was a son of the late Ed Davis and Wilma Guy Davis. Mr. Davis was employed as a maintenance technician. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Evelyn Hudson Davis; a son, Mark Davis and his wife, Kathie of Arden; two grandsons, Wade and Allen Davis and two brothers, Joe Davis of York, SC and Doug Guy of Fletcher. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Revs. Doug Guy and Woodfin Hudson officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, 146 Victoria Road, Asheville, NC 28801.
