Thomas P. Melvin, 77, of 122 Redwood Lane, Largo, FL, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, in an
Asheville hospital.
Mr. Melvin was a son of the late Thomas F. and Isabelle Gallager Melvin. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and was retired from the American Can Co.
He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Wolski Melvin; six daughters, Linda Melvin of Palm Harbor, FL, Mary Brauer of Largo, FL, Susie
Mowry of Asheville, Karen Heady of Land-O-Lakes, FL, Anne Newsome of St. Petersburg, FL, and Ellie Ferro of Clearwater, FL; one sister, Isabelle
Carpenter of Worth, IL, twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 pm Tuesday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church by the
Rev. Fr. Roger Arnsparger.
