Thomas Freer Rowlinson, Sr., 80, of Southwick Dr., Arden, died Tuesday, September 26, 2000 in a Henderson County hospital.
A native of Lynn, Mass., Mr. Rowlinson was a son of the late Robert G. and Eleanor Nightingale Rowlinson and husband of the late Dorothy C. Wellman Rowlinson who died in 1997.
Mr. Rowlinson served in the US Navy during WW II. He was a retired firefighter in Lynn, MA and was also a member of the Gannon Golf Club.
Surviving is one daughter, Elizabeth Duplin of Winthrop, MA; two sons, Thomas F. Rowlinson, Jr. of Danvers, MA and William R. Rowlinson of Fort Atkinson, WI and three grandchildren.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, MA.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, NC is in charge of arrangements.
