Sue Lizzie Boyd, 97, formerly of Asheville, died Monday, May 12, 2003, in Shelby.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Joe and Sue Lankford Lytle. She was married to Lewis F. Boyd, Sr. who died in 1980 and was the mother of Lewis F. Boyd, Jr. who died in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Susan Harnage and
Delores Powell of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 4:00 pm Tuesday at Cane Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Donald N. Welborn officiating.

Fairview, NC 28730.

I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Boyd’s death. She was my daughter’s (Jamie) baby sitter for many years. She and Pop were very special and now that Jamie has a new baby, she have remarked that she wished she could find a Mrs. Boyd in Atlanta.
