  12. I’m already missing my text and phone chats with Steve. Decades ago, sometimes we walked home together from Roberson HS, since his house and the end of my driveway were across the road from each other. We lost any real contact until about ten or twelve years ago, then reconnecting when Margie Eblen and John Powers and Phil Layton were all battling health issues. He followed my FB post, Critter Chronicles, and we had many talks about everything. I saw him in person only once after our TCR 50th reunion, before his most extreme surgery. He was enormously proud of Terry and their family, loved golf and America, and was a loyal friend to many. I hope to see Steve in the new heavens and earth, vibrant and whole in Christ!
