Celebrating the Life of Sherrill Anne Minotti
On July 28, 2026, Sherrill Anne Minotti of Asheville, NC, left her earthly body in the presence of her devoted family, stepping peacefully into the eternal light of her Savior and into the arms of her late husband, Dominick.
Born to Laura and Willie Scott on January 4, 1936, in Leesburg, Florida, Sherrill grew up to attend nursing school at the University of Florida. It was there that destiny stepped in, introducing her to Dominick Minotti, Sr (Dom). They married on July 24, 1955, and built a vibrant, bustling life centered around faith, community, and their five children.
Sherrill was the heart of her home as the family moved through Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, and Brandon. She poured her energy into her family and her many creative talents, capturing life through photography and crafting beautiful pieces through quilting and cross-stitch. But her true sanctuary was her garden. Sherrill loved nothing more than getting her hands dirty. If she ever told you, “I love you more than dirt,” you knew you held a rare and sacred place in her heart.
Her faith was a guiding anchor. After marrying Dom, she became a Catholic and later helped lead the People of Praise Community, impacting countless lives and building cherished, lifelong friendships. In 2004, she and Dom retired to the mountains of Sylva, NC, later moving to Asheville.
Sherrill’s gentle soul extended to all animals, but she held a fierce love for cats. Her beloved Allie Cat was her constant comfort after Dom passed away three years ago, remaining right by her side through her final transition.
Sherrill was an extraordinarily loving soul who left the world more beautiful than she found it. Her legacy of “Forever Love” lives on in her five children, Stephanie, Dominick Jr., Scott, Niyaso, and Lisa; her two daughters-in-law; her son-in-law; her eight grandchildren; and her thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
She is free now, enfolded in God’s light, and her love remains with us always.

Sherrill Anne was always loving and kind to me and to others.
I have wonderful memories of her through People of Praise and as a friend and sister in Christ. Her beautiful smile and loving demeaner could win everyone over. I will always remember being welcomed into her home and into POP with open arms. Through the years, she helped me to open up, grow spiritually and to appreciate the goodness of God that surrounded her.
She and her loving husband, Dominick were very dear to my daughter Angela when she was ill. They will always have a special place in my heart as they were in my husband, Howard’s heart. Both of them will never be forgotten.
My love, prayers, and condolences for all the family.

It is difficult to find the words to express how much Sherrill meant to me. We shared so much as sisters in the Lord through our work in People of Praise, as neighbors and as friends. I was on my way to the dentist and she came into my mind so strongly. I planned to call her as soon as I returned home, but heard that she had died. So sorry for your loss, Stephanie, DJ, Scott, Niyaso and Lisa, and everyone. I am sure she was welcomed into Heaven’s Gates and especially waiting for her were Dom and Louise. God bless you all with peace at this difficult time.

Dear Minotti Family, The Grecos express their deepest condolences to all of you in the loss of Sherrill, I had planned to send Pictures of our Family as she delighted in seeing and hearing of a New Addition or the accomplishment of a Child or Grandchild. Sherrill not only opened her Arms to envelope us she Loved us treating us like her own. I can still see HER Smile and hear her laughing. Be honored that you held such a close relationship to her, she cherished each of you.
✝️🌹 I am so very sorry for your loss please know that you were all in my prayers may the Lord welcome, Sherrill into his heavenly kingdom

I lived with Sherrill Anne and Dom for about two years. Such a Holy and loving family. They taught me so much about the love of Jesus every day. I will always cherish the memories of the time I lived with them. They helped me to be brave enough to move on to the next step in my life and I will be forever grateful to them. I am so thankful that they are now together with Jesus whom they lived for and loved all their lives. judy allgeyer Colorado Springs, CO
