Memorial Service for Shane Lee Bartlett will be held at 6 pm Monday, May 18, 1998 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
Shane was a senior at Asheville High School and was scheduled to graduate this June with his class.
He was diagnosed in November, 1996, with aplastic anemia, and fought a long courageous battle until his death.

Shane is survived by his mother, Marie Bartlett Maher; father, Gary L. Bartlett; brothers, Brian of Asheville and Brett of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; step-brother, Jason Maher of Danville, VA; grandmother, June Wilson; grandfather, Denny Sluder; an aunt, Jan Norton; a niece and a nephew.
