Ruth Suttles Case, 91, of 162 Sardis Road, Asheville, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at the Hospice Solace Center. Mrs. Case was born in Haywood County and was married to Thomas C. Case who died May 21, 2000. She was a member of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Alice Lowers and Alma Price of Asheville; two sons, Allen Case of Canton and Alfred Case of Asheville; a sister Annie Mae Medford of Waynesville; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Phillip Hurst and Roy Houston officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

    She was a very sweet lady. It was a
    pleasure knowing her. I was unable to attend the visitation because of

  6. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We will always remember the visits from Tom and Ruth and your family to our family gatherings on Big Sandy Mush. My Dad and Mom (Floyd & Alice) thought so much of your mom and dad. It seemed they always had a good sense of humor. Just remember God has grace for each need. We will certainly be thinking of you in the days to come.
