Ruth Suttles Case, 91, of 162 Sardis Road, Asheville, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at the Hospice Solace Center.
Mrs. Case was born in Haywood County and was married to Thomas C. Case who died May 21, 2000. She was a member of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Alice Lowers and Alma Price of Asheville; two sons, Allen Case of Canton and Alfred Case of Asheville; a sister Annie Mae Medford of Waynesville; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Phillip Hurst and Roy Houston officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

So sorry to hear about your Mother.
She was a very sweet lady. It was a
pleasure knowing her. I was unable to attend the visitation because of
illness but you are in my prayers. If ever I can be of help do not hesitate to call me.
My favorite Aunt. She made my faith inGod Stronger because she was so strong in her faith.She and Uncle Tom were there for me when I was in need of someone who would hold up to God in their prayers.Aunt Ruth you will always be in my heart.I love you.I’m Praying that God keep your family,during their time of grief. The news of Aunt Ruth’s passing has saddened our family. We always enjoyed the times we spent with her and Uncle Tom. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you, her family.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We will always remember the visits from Tom and Ruth and your family to our family gatherings on Big Sandy Mush.
