Ruth Green Plemmons

Ruth Green Plemmons, 81, of 163 Brooks Cove Road, Candler, died Monday, November 6, 2006. Mrs. Plemmons was born in Polk County and was a daughter of the late Willard M. and Mary Lou Miller Green. She was married for 59 years to Thomas W. "Buck" Plemmons, who died March 23, 2006. Mrs. Plemmons was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Vergie Freeman and her husband, JR, and two sons, Michael Plemmons and his wife, Alicia, and Melvin Plemmons and his wife, Debbie, all of Candler; grandchildren, Brad Freeman, Eric Freeman and his fiancee, Shauna Conn, Martin Brault and his wife, Rhonda, Jason Brault and his wife, Amanda, Angie Plemmons, all of Candler and Crystal Robinson and her husband, Jason, of Jacksonville, FL; Sharon Wallace and Michael Warren of Candler, and Daniel Warren of Camp Lejeune, NC; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Orren Robinson, MaKayla Wallace, and Brandon Madden; four sisters, Nell Sikorski and her husband, Walt, of Asheville, Ruby Gasperson of Swannanoa, Cornelia Plemmons of Candler and Mary Gillen of Long Beach, MS; a brother, Don Green of Candler; sister-in-law Meredith Hawkins and her husband, Larry; brother-in-law, T.H. Plemmons and his wife Catherine. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Cole officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
