RUSSELL "JACK" MORRIS
Russell "Jack" Morris, 57, of Smith Graveyard Road, Asheville, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at his home.
A native of McDowell County, he was a son of the late Walt and Ella Moore Morris.
Mr. Morris loved old vehicles, car shows, and rod runs. He also enjoyed camping at Bent Creek. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his life companion, Kim Osborne, of the home; a son, Chris Osborne and girlfriend Tiffany Burgess; daughter, LuAnn Garcia, of Connolly Springs, NC; brother, Bill Morris and wife Barbara, of Old Fort; sister, Elsie Blankenship; grandson, Tommy Garcia; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and his three faithful friends, Ratchett, Charlie and Toby.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Gospel Tabernacle Church, Brickyard Rd. off of Emma Rd., with the Rev. Eugene Dodd officiating. Burial will follow at Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with arrangements.

Have known Jack at the car club for a long time and always enjoyed him, Kim, his dog and his beautiful black Regal. We miss them on saturday evenings and are so sorry about his pain and death! GOD HAS TAKEN AWAY HIS PAIN NOW!
