RONALD RAY JONES Ronald Ray Jones, 53, of 456 Sluder Branch Road, Leicester, died Sunday, August 10, 2003, at the Hospice Solace Center. Mr. Jones was a native of Buncombe County and was a son of Margaret Ledford Jones Sluder and the late Holmes Jones. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Linda Rathbone Jones; four sons Ronnie, Charles, Jessie and Jeff; two three daughters, Penny, Rhonda and Angie; seven sisters, Dot, Joy, Mary, Peggy, Ruth, Joan and Glenda; two brothers, Harry and Raymond; and two granddaughters, Sierra and Taylor. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Penland Chapel Cemetery, Leicester, with the Rev. Ray A. Hipps officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 - 1:30 pm Tuesday and request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Penland Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Ronda Hall, 481 Old Newfound Road, Leicester, NC 28748.
