Rick S. Derrick, 60, of Leicester, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Emily Lucille Derrick. He was also preceded in death by his aunt, Doris Dixon.
Mr. Derrick had worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Hyatt Derrick; daughters, Donna Lisa Derrick, and Rachelle Derrick; grandchildren, Randall Derrick, Lexis Childers, David Clark, Tyrell Washington, and Nevada Lucas Derrick; siblings, Sharee Dixon Clontz, Debbie Porter, and Junior, Larry, Johnny, and Gregg Dixon; and uncle, Bill Dixon.
A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. His family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m.
