Becky please know we are thinking of you in this most difficult time. It was our pleasure to know Rene and we will remember him fondly. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Please do not hesitate to call us if we can be of any help to you.
We were shocked to read of Rene’s death a few minutes ago in the ACT.
He was such a ‘special’ person in my life, whom I held in great esteem and appreciation for ‘who and Whose he was’! Becky, you have had two tremendous losses in recent days with the ‘Homegoing’ of Rene’ and Chuck. Be assured that we are holding you and the family in our prayers and hope to be with you for the memorial service when it is announced. May God’s presence embrace you with His love, comfort you by His Spirit, and uphold you by His abundant grace.

Dear Becky, how saddened I was to hear of Rene’s passing. The years we spent together at Hinton were among the best years of my life. His influence reached far beyond the bounds of rural North Carolina and his effect on the lives of so many is a lasting tribute to his loving and caring nature. Dewitt and I send our love and prayers to you, the girls and grandchildren.
