Asheville ~ Philomena "Faye" Guglielmo, 95, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at The Laurels of Greentree Ridge surrounded by family.
She was born December 17, 1916, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Rose and Moise Manfredi. She married Leonard Guglielmo in 1954, in Brooklyn, NY.
Faye worked in the garment industry in the 1930's in New York City and later worked in several positions with accounting and banking in northern New Jersey. She did volunteer work in several capacities including with the Hall of Fame Museum in Teterboro, New Jersey. After the death of her husband in 1989 she retired to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she enjoyed many years of travel, friends and her arts and crafts hobbies.
She is survived by her step-daughter Linda McBride and her husband, Merrl, of Asheville; two grandsons, Jason Daniello and his wife, Elizabeth Lebleu Daniello of Asheville and William McBride of Dubuque, IA; one great-grandchild, Gus Lebleu Daniello; one nephew, Michael Manfredi of Brooklyn, NY and three nieces.

Grandma Faye touched the lives of many throughout her life. She always enjoyed her time with family and was a great story-teller of her many unique experiences growing up, working, and traveling. She was creative and made beautiful crafts in her free time. She always enjoyed eating and made delicious Italian food.
She had a reserved sense of humor. I will never forget cooking with her as a child and her Julia Child impersonations.
Grandma Faye was very proud of her family and will be missed.
