Edna “Pauline” Treadway Gaddy, 85, of Asheville, died on Friday, July 24, 2026.

A native of Madison Co., Pauline was a daughter of the late Everett and Mae Price Treadway. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Treadway Freeman; brothers, Walter Treadway, and Everett Treadway, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Don Gaddy.

Pauline worked for many years in the parts department of Sears.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Henry Gaddy, Jr.; nephews, Michael Danny Freeman, Scotty Gaddy, Keith Freeman, Walter Treadway, Jr., and Johnnie Treadway; niece, Kelly Stilwell; brother-in-law, Jon Gaddy, Sr., his wife, Betty and her sisters, Margaret and Diane.

Her family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Matthew Sams will officiate. The burial will then take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
