Patsy R. Martin

Asheville ~ Patsy R. Martin, 79, of Royal Pines Drive, Asheville, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at the Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House. Mrs. Martin was a native of Rockingham, NC and was a daughter of the late Charles and Ophelia Zigler Hooper. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard Jones and Leonard Jones and two grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was a seamstress and was a member of the Biltmore Square Mall Walking Club and of Blue Ridge Christian Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Cyrus Martin; two daughters, Sandra Gates of Morganton, NC and Pamela Hensley of Rutherford College, NC and four grandchildren, Josh Brittain, Heather Taylor, Lenny Jones and Mark Jones. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Blue Ridge Christian Church with the Reverend Palma Bennett officiating. The family requests that memorial donations be made to either to Blue Ridge Christian Church, 60 Oren Drive, Fletcher, NC 28732 or to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
