Pressley “Pat” Moss, 81, of Candler, our beloved wife and mother, peacefully went home to be with Jesus Sunday, July 11, 2004, with her family at her side, after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease.
Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by her father John R. Rogers and her brother Jack Rogers. She was retired as a secretary and bookkeeper from I-26 Paint and Body Shop and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
Surviving are her loving husband, R.G. Moss, Jr. of Candler; her mother, Viola P. Rogers of Asheville; one daughter, Lynda M. Alexander and her husband Charles of Advance, NC; two sons, Steve Moss and his wife Mary of Asheville and Ken Moss of the Emma community; two granddaughters Amanda and Whitney Moss of Asheville; three grandsons Clay, Chad and Clint Alexander; one great-grandson Chase Alexander; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Carson Moseley officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation, c/o William Black Medical Building, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, 710 West 168th Street, New York, NY 10032-9982.
The family wishes to thank all staff members of Pisgah Manor and Pisgah Villas who were part of taking care of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
