Nora Lytle Castillo

Burnsville - Nora Lee Lytle Castillo, 64, of Star Branch Road, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004, in a local hospital. A native of Hollywood, Florida, she was a daughter of Thelma Burns Lytle of Fairview and of the late Columbus B. Lytle. She also was preceded in death by a brother, William Stanley Lytle, who died in 1999. Mrs. Castillo was an avid quilt maker and loved to work in her garden. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Owensby Snowden of Burnsville and two sons, Timothy Trantham of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Anthony Trantham of Burnsville; three grandchildren, Alan Snowden, Jacklyn Michelle Snowden and Rachel Elizabeth Trantham. She also is survived by three sisters, Diana Lytle Burns of Arden, Susan Lytle Richards of Fairview and Mary Lytle Mariut of Maggie Valley and a brother, Jerry Dwight Lytle of Fairview. Services will be held at 11 am Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral home at Lake Julian conducted by Pastor Todd Royal. Interment will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road.
