Nelle Trexler Morisette

Nelle Trexler Collins Morisette, 91, died Monday, February 3, 2003, at the Rickman Nursing Center of the Western Carolina Baptist Home. Mrs. Morisette was born in Asheville and was a daughter of the late Ed and Bessie McFee Trexler. She was married to the late Wymer Collins and was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Legie McPherson, Betty McCall, and Ernest, Charles, Robie, Howard and Ted Arthur Trexler. She was an LPN in private duty nursing and was also a former salesperson for the Standard Coffee Co. She was a member of Groce United Methodist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Austin of Asheville; two sisters, Mary Wilson of Asheville and Roselyn Davis of Arden; two brothers, Harold Trexler of Asheville and Jack Trexler of Candler; a granddaughter, B.L. Shuford of Asheville; two great-granddaughters, Jennifer Wallace and Heather Shuford and two great-great-granddaughters, Lauren and Morgan Wallace. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Davis and Mr. Donald Howell officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
