Neal Byron Kelly, 41, of 27 Apple Lane, Woodfin, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at his home.
A native of Sanford, FL, he was a son of Robert Browning Kelly and Gayle Paula Roberts Kelly. Mr. Kelly worked as a sculptor of artwork and also worked with special effects on several movies made in the area. He served in the US Air Force.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, Jean Renae White Kelly and four children, Elissa H. Kelly, Shauna G. Kelly, Brina S. Kelly and Neal Bridges Kelly, all of the home.
Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Monday at noon.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
