Mildred Joyce Codd

Mildred Joyce Codd Fairview ~ Mildred Joyce Codd, 96, of Fairview, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Fleshers Fairview Healthcare Center. A native of Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late James and Mildred Liggett Joyce. She was also preceded in death by her husband, R. Trent Codd, as well as one son, Christopher James Codd. Mildred is survived by one son, R. Trent Codd, Jr. (Celine) of Fairview; grandchildren, R. Trent Codd, III (Ginger) of Weaverville, Patrick Timothy Codd (Erin) of Belmont, CA, Rev. Matthew Paul Codd of Boone, NC, Kevin Andrew Codd (Sarah) of Garner, NC and Lucas Trent Kasdan-Codd of Santa Monica, CA as well as seven great-grandchildren, Isabella and Caroline Codd, of Weaverville, Evan, Blake and Khai Codd, of Belmont, CA and Isaac and Cecilia Codd of Garner, NC The family will be holding a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that memorial donations be made to Canongate Catholic High School, 4110 Hendersonville Road, Ste 10, Fletcher, NC 28732 (www.canongatecatholic.org). Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
