Asheville Butterfly TrailMichael “Mike” Arlington Eubank, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
A native of Roanoke, VA, Mike was the son of the late Roy Edmond and Frances Sink Eubank.
Mr. Eubank was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. Mike was an avid hiker who loved spending time outdoors especially fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Anderson Eubank; son, Shane Eubank (Holly Ann); step-son, Joey Reed (Jennifer); grandchildren, Preston Reed and Jackson Reed; and sisters, Joyce Emerson, Trina Taylor (Billy), Regina Lemanowicz (Teddy), Sonya Simpson (Jeff), and Judy Worthington.
His family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, at Pole Creek Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Dennis Thurman and The Rev. Mark Tice will officiate.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

Our hearts join yours in grieving the loss of Mike. We really thought he might beat this but God has something greater for him to do in heaven.
Last time we talked with Mike – he said he wanted more time with his grandsons and that the church needed us “Old-timers”.

Arlene and family, I was so shocked to learn of Mike’s passing. He was such a nice person. I remember when the two of you started dating. You were both so happy. And through our emails learned how he cared for Joey and his sons. Mackie and I have you all in our prayers. May God hold you in His arms and comfort you as only He can. Love you my friend.
