Willis and family,
What a joy it was to know Carolyn. Her smile, her giggle, her kind ways, her love for her family, her students, and friends made her a special lady to know and love. I never remember a time when I saw Carolyn and talked to her that I didn’t feel more joy afterwards. Thank God that He provided a way for us all to remember her through our memories of time spent with her. I pray God will hold you up in this time of sorrow and give you peace that she will always be with you. My family and I have always felt a close relationship with you and your family. We share in your grief today and extend our sympathies. Hold each other tightly. Love to you all.
Willis and family,
We are thinking of you. May you be comforted by our prayers in this time of your grief. Memories of Carolyn will forever be treasured.
For Willis, we had many happy memories and Carolyn was a beautiful part of my life for a long time. I know she will be missed by everyone she touched with her smile. We spent many years on the basketball court together. She was in my small wedding and sang.
My heart goes out to you and all of your family.
Love, Linda
Willis,

Willis…one of my favorite families has suffered a great loss and I am so sorry for all of you. You and Carolyn did a fine job in raising the boys. God will welcome her and say ‘ Carolyn, a job well done ‘.

Willis,
I want to say what a wonderful privilege it was for Denise and me to have known Carolyn. I remember how very special she was to us, even when she was in the hospital. It was always such a joy to see her. We share deeply in your loss and grieve with you. Ever since we came to town, you and Carolyn stood out as a very special wonderful family. We have had so many great times traveling together to tennis tournaments and I know that our friendship will continue in the future. I will always remember Carolyn’s smile and how upbeat she was. I hope that you and your family will be embraced by God’s love and peace and serenity that passes understanding as you grieve Carolyn’s passing.
With love, Rex and Denise Snodgrass
Dear Dan, Jennifer and Family,

Please accept my most sincere condolences. Carolyn was always such a sweet, pleasant person. When she taught my daughter she dearly loved Carolyn.
You don’t know me, but I was in Carolyn’s class at Appalachian. I didn’t know her well but remember her because we lived in the same dorm, at least one year. A friend (And another classmate) recognized her from the picture in the paper. I live in Yancey County so we weren’t so very far apart. I am very sorry for your loss. She was a very pretty lady, and I wish I’d known her better.
Sincerely,
Thanna Davis
