Asheville Butterfly TrailA native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Ethel Hart King of Leicester. She was married to Paul Shelton who died in 1956 and to James F. Adams who died in 1986. She was a member of Coles Cove Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Roberts of Asheville; a son, Bobby King of Asheville; two sisters, Betty Williams of Asheville and Wilma Flynn of Hendersonville; a brother, Jimmy King of Asheville and two grandchildren, Stacie Lynette Roberts and Chad Roberts. “Love to all my nieces and nephews, friends and family.”
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Bobby Leighton and Joe Rice officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
