Mary Lou Israel

May 2, 1911 ~ July 10, 1998

Funeral services for Mrs. Israel will be at 11:00 am Monday, July 13, 1998, at Groce Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. G. Scott Lynch will officiate, and burial will be at White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.

She was born in Jackson County and was a daughter of the late Gus and Dora Davis Wilkey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Osborne Israel, a son, Eric Israel, and brothers, Grady and John Israel. She was a member of Enka Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Art Edwards; a son, William D. Israel; four sisters, Rebecca Edwards, Bobbie Johnson, Frances Whitted, and Alice Morgan; two brothers, Lloyd and Jim Wilkey; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
