Marjorie King McCulloch, 78, of 507 Upper Glady Fork Road, Candler, died Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at her home.

Mrs. McCulloch was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Eugene and Parilee Ledford King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Graham “Doug” McCulloch, Sr., who died in 1997, and by two sons, Walter G. McCulloch, Jr. and Robert McCulloch, and a brother Doyle King. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Pat Sams of Candler; one sister, Virgie Smith; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and also by her friend and companion, Brenda Holley.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Yelton and the Rev. Dr. C. Fred Werhan officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence, 507 Upper Glady Fork Road, Candler.
