I worked at the Baptist Home when Mrs. Ashford was there. I was only 17, but we became friends immediately. When she moved to the Laurels we kept in touch. She had a big personality, and was very kind. I am sorry for your loss, but I know she is in a better place. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
To the Ashford Family,
We met Mrs. Ashford several years ago when our son, Tristan Briggs worked at the Baptist Home. We went to visit her, and became friends.Later when she moved to the Laurels we visited, and went to lunch with her. She was such a great lady. It was evident she loved her family, and was very proud of them. May the Lord comfort you in these hard times. God Bless.
I had the privelage of working with Marion at Reynolds and Reynolds for several years in the early 80’s. She was like a mother to most of us girls that worked in the office. I frequently think of her when I am cooking and pull up a recipe in her handwriting. We all shared recipes but hers were some of the best. She was a great lady and I am sure you all have great memories.

My deepest sympathy to Gary, Steve, and Marion’s sisters. Marion was a dear friend of mine. We worked together at Reynolds and Reynolds for many years. Marion was a brilliant and beautiful person, inside and out. Her two sons were the light of her life. After she moved from Dayton we spoke at least once a month. The last time I spoke with her was 6/11/11. I will miss her very much. Gary, I’m sorry I missed your call. If possible, I would like to speak with you or any other member of Marion’s family.
