Arden ~ Marion Allene Jackson Jackson, 89, of Hendersonville Road, died on Saturday, February 16, 2008 in a local hospital.
She was born in Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late James Frank Jackson and Mary Ann Cairnes Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Jackson, Jr. in 2002, two sisters, Margaret Bobbitt and Mildred Hyder; three brothers, James, Raymond and Cecil C. Jackson. She was the assistant Clerk of Superior Court in Henderson County for over 26 years and also served 10 years in Buncombe County. She was a member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Stone of Cookeville, TN; two sons, Gary Jackson and wife Patricia Miller Jackson of Clinton, MD. and Dale Jackson of Arden; grandson, Nicholas Stone; a sister, Mary Sweeney of Stanford, Ct.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in the chapel of Groce Funeral at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road in Arden.
Burial will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard in Fletcher.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Dear Dale, Gary, and Pat, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to get to NC to visit but since mom has been staying with us it has been difficult to get away. Your mom was a wonderful woman and I know she will be missed by all that loved her. I can still picture her kitchen the smell of coffee and the sound of her voice it is a wonderful memory.
