Marian Holcombe Thomason, 77, of Asheville, died on Friday, June 22, 2018.
A native of Buncombe Co., Marian was the daughter of the late Marshall Herman and Sarah Ella Praytor Holcombe.
Mrs. Thomason is survived by her son, Charles "Scott" Thomason and wife Jo Carol; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Thomason.
The graveside service for Mrs. Thomason will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Piney Grove Cemetery, Swannanoa. Her family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the CarePartners Foundation, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

Scott, so sorry to hear this sad news. I will always remember Marian much like a second mom. She taught me ceramics and cake decorating, among other things. Was always a joy to be around. I was just thinking about her a week or so ago and thought I needed to give her a call. So sad. Prayers are with you and your family.
Mrs. Thomason will be sorely missed. May the good Lord keep you all close.
