David, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
David and Janet please know my love, thoughts, and prayers are with you. Mae lived a long wonderful life and will always have a special place in my heart. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood include Joe and Mae and the good times we had together with my parents, Max and Marie. Please know she is in a better place with Joe, my parents, Meta, and others that have gone before them. If there is anything I can do please don’t hesitate to call on me.
Love always,
Maxine Metcalf
David my thoughts and prayers are with you
David and Janet-our thoughts and prayers are with you. I loved so much coming back home to see my family when I was young. My best memories, are of all of us laughing so hard we cried. Without Aunt Mae, and Aunt Pete (Meta) I wouldn’t know as much about my dad whom they always said was the best big brother. I will truly miss Aunt Mae. I love you both!!! Betty, Rachel, Kelsey, and Louise
David and Janet, we were former neighbors of Mae’s and we would
bring our dogs up to see her on the front porch. She always ran inside to get them a treat. She was a wonderful person and we will miss her so much. She is in a better place now with her beloved Joe. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Dear David and Janet,
I should wait to write as I just found out from Sharon that Mae died. My heart is so heavy as I think of you, David, Janet and Mae. It is more than I can almost
comprehend. All are home now. Meta, Mae, Mamaw, Auntie and my Mother. I cannot comprehend Heaven either and my tears will not allow me to see so I will stop. Please know how much I love you all and I am so sorry.
Love, Dianne, Max, Jeff and Christy
David and Janet,
It is 04/09/08 and I am sitting in my office with tears streaming down my face. I have just heard of Mae’s passing. I loved her so very much and wish I could have been at her service. Our family has had quite a few of our loved ones making their transitions over the last several years. What a comfort it was to look up and see Mae there mouthing words of prayer and encouragement before I spoke.
Our family has had many trials and tribulations but we have also been so blessed to have had angels on earth, like Mae, to carry us through.
I know that Mae, Meta and my grandmother are having a grand time in Heaven. Makes me long for home.
Love,
Jeff Phillips
