Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. David – You may or may not remember me – a long lost cousin, Joy (Jarrell)!! And, I knew you as ‘Mickey’!! I saw your mother’s obituary in the Fayette Tribune. I remember your mom as a beautiful lady who was always soft-spoken and kind. When we were growing up, I remember her as quite fashionable with her own unique style!

My sister, Bea, died in 1996. Mom (your dad’s sister, Effie) died in 1997. Tiny died in 2005. I have been in Canton since 1963 and have six children, 15 grands and 5 great-grands.

May the Lord be with you and keep you in his grace.

  2. I had the honor of being a volunteer for hospice, and visiting Lucy every week since October. She was the most genuine, pure hearted, kind woman I have ever met. I was saddened to hear of her passing, but know that her faith was strong and she looked forward to being united with the Lord. I rest in the knowledge that her Savior now comforts her, and she is together again with her husband and family. David, you were the apple of her eye, and she was so proud of you and all that you have accomplished in your life. I heard many of her life stories and will carry them with me always. Thank you for the opportunity to know such a remarkable woman.

  3. Dear Family of Lucy Lowry,

I want to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one. You can be assured that comfort and encouragement can be found in the Bible. At Revelations 21 4 you can read of a time when pain and suffering will be no more. What a wonderful hope. Please take care of yourselves.

    Sincerely

  4. David, I was so sorry to hear of Lucy’s passing. I hadn’t seen you or her for many years. I know you remember our years in music for Kenilworth Church, & that you played for my wedding. Carroll & I were married 52 yrs, & he died Dec.’07. I just wanted to touch base with you again after all this time. Your mother was a lovely lady & I know you will miss her. Fondly, Beverley Hall McGee

  5. Memories of love and friendship are treasures to carry with you always. Mrs. Lowry was like a grandmother to me. I felt I could talk to her about anything. I will always remember what a good friend she was to my family. Take comfort– those who love will be reunited in eternity.

  6. I met Lucy several years ago when I was visiting a former patient at ArdenWoods. My dog Archie ran into her room and befriended Lucy first.Lucy and I have shared many a story since that day.She was a truly beautiful soul and a good friend. My whole family got to meet Lucy and we celebrated her last few birthdays together.Heaven is a richer place with Lucy in it.
