Louise Sorrells Crawford, 82, of Arden, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at her residence.
Born on June 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Coleman and Sally Barnwell Sorrells. She did clerical work for Biltmore Dairy and attended Reed Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by a nephew, Granville Sorrells and his wife, Janice, of Morganton.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.

My prayers are with her family. Louise was a wonderful neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Granville and family:
I grew up in Oakley on Fairview Avenue which is just around the corner from Baldwin Street where Louise and her parents lived. She was always so pleasant and kind to me growing up. I know you will miss her but now she is in Heaven with her family and friends.
Louise was my 2nd cousin, I am Harvey Sorrells’s daughter. She was a wonderful part of my life. Heaven welcomed her!!
Aunt Louise was the last sibling of the family that included the late Aunt Dorothy Freeman, My Dad Ernest, Uncle Roy, Paul,& Granvile Sorrells. Louise was the most shy of the family and was difficult to know her when we were young. Sorry that she was alone in her departure from this life. May she rest in peace with her siblings.
Aunt Louise you will be missed. May you rest in peace in your new home with our loved ones gone before you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Louise was a very sweet person and had a lovely smile. I enjoyed knowing her through Oakley United Methodist Church. She joined us for lunch at the J & S Cafeteria after church. We will miss her.
