I am Wayne’s girlfriend (Wayne Davis) and have been for almost 14 years. Aunt Louise always made me feel so welcome to the family. She always gave me a big hug, and would tell me that she loved me every time she saw me. She was such a sweet person, so full of love and kindness for everyone she met, and so funny too. Just a few weeks ago Wayne and I visited her home. Even though she was very ill, her personality hadn’t changed one bit. She was still pleasant and upbeat, in spite of her obvious pain and discomfort.
When Wayne was little, Louise would ask him who loved him, and his reply was always ‘Aunt Louise’?. Wayne and I still say that to each other every now and then. Wayne will ask me who loves me, and my answer is ‘Aunt Louise’?. I believe with all my heart that she did. I will really miss seeing her; the world has lost an angel.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

We were sorry to hear about Louise’s
I am saddened to learn of the death of Louise. I was her nursing supervisor at Brooks-Howell Home; and we worked together several years. I always called her ‘Pegg’; and she always called me ‘Graham’.
She was a wonderful nursing assistant, and took good care of our patients. During the times that we weren’t so busy, we would chat; and Louise always talked about two things most of all. . .her family, and cooking. Several times during our years together, she would bring flour, milk, and sausage grease and make some of the best gravy I’ve ever eaten, along with some biscuits. Louise sure knew how to cook. She brought me a recipe for broccolli quiche one day. I went home and made it for my family. My Dad always hated brocolli; but when he tasted a sample of that quiche, he reached over and said, ‘I want another piece of that pie!’ When I told Louise about it the next day, she laughed and laughed. I have many fond memories of Louise; and her shoes can never be filled. I send my prayers and heartfelt sympathy to members of her family.
I sure will miss her.
I’ve thought back countless times on the hours and hours I spent at ‘Nanna Pegg’s’. She probably fed me at least one meal a day for years. She was a wonderful woman; may fond memories comfort her family. Love and prayers to you all.
