Asheville Butterfly TrailLori Ann “Grandma Cookie” Pallinger, 63, of Black Mountain, died Thursday, August 22, 2024 at her residence.
Born in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Kathleen “Kathy” (Soltis) Grundmann and her husband Larry of New Orleans, LA, and the late Emil W. Pallinger.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arden, she was a loving mother who adored her children and grandchildren.
Lori is also survived by a son, Jorie Loomis of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters: Danya Horrocks of Black Mountain and Adison Psalia of Vacaville, CA; five grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Pallinger and his wife Terri of Roseville, CA; and a sister, Lisa, in Washington.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3401 Sweeten Creek Rd., Arden with Bishop Mike Stohl officiating.
The family requests no flowers, please. Instead, please make a memorial contribution in Lori’s memory to the charity of your choice.

Prayers and condolences for all who knew and loved Lori. She was so faithful through her adversities. She had a beautiful testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and his gospel. Until we meet again, rest in peace, sweet Lori.

RIP Lori, will always remember all the good times we had in perris,CA.
We met at the school bus stop in 1975 in Dublin, CA.
Though we lost touch over the last 10 or more years (different states & family kept us busy), you will always be my best friend. We’ve had many, many years & memories together. I will always remember us as young teens, walking around Dublin SINGING out loud and laughing. I was 1 yr older. You had your 1st child, Jorie, & 6 mo’s later I had mine, Shawn. I had my 2nd child, Jessica, & 1 yr later you gave birth to Danya.
Our sons are still long distance friends to this day. REST IN PEACE my dearest friend. I’m so sorry & sad we lost touch in our older years. 💕 Love you forever,
