LOIS H. WALSH
Lois Henderson Walsh, 83, of 26 Ivy Street North, Asheville, went to be
with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2003.
Mrs. Walsh was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the
late John H. and Leona Ingram Henderson. She was also preceded in death by
her husband, William Lee Walsh, Sr. and by a son John W. Walsh. She was a
former sales clerk with Waldensian Bakery and was a member of Riverside Baptist
Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Yvonne Cordell of Concord; a son, William L.
Walsh, Jr. and his wife Alda of Alexander; four granddauhters, Rebecca Payne,
Kelly Shipman, Jennifer Turner, and Christina Cordell, a grandson, Richard Walsh,
and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday at Riverside Baptist
Church with the Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be at Ashelawn
Gardens.
Her family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and at other times will be at the
residence.
