Linda Murray McLaughlin, 57, of 15 Beck Drive, Asheville, died Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. McLaughlin was born in Boca Raton, FL and was a daughter of Sarah Rhyne Murray of Mt. Olive and the late William Benjamin Murray, Jr. She was a graduate of Mars Hill College. She was a homemaker, Bible scholar, author and artist.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Larry McLaughlin; three daughters, Susie Constance and her husband Thomas of Charlotte, Connie McLaughlin of Knoxville, TN, and Karen Lee and her husband Ted of Oak Island, NC; two grandchildren, Amber Lee and Benjamin Lee; one sister, Joyce Thompson and her husband Linwood of Goldsboro; two brothers, William B. Murray III and his wife Barbara of Charlottesville, VA and Daniel R. Murray and his wife Ninevah of Raleigh; two nephews and four nieces.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday at Newfound Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Ball officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at Newfound Baptist church and request that memorials be made to the Newfound Baptist Church Piano Fund, PO Box 16, Leicester, NC 28748, Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813, or to the Eblen Foundation, 18-D Regent Park Blvd., Asheville, NC 28806.
