Leila H. Proffitt, 72, of 151 Pole Creasman Road, Asheville, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at her home.
Mrs. Proffitt was born in Yancey County and was a daughter of the late Floyd and Bertha Silvers Hollifield.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph B. Proffitt; one daughter, Patricia Barringer, one son, Michael Proffitt, and two grandchildren, Joseph Michael Proffitt and Stephanie Barringer, all of Asheville; a sister, Edna Jones of Swannanoa and three brothers, J.D. Hollifield and his wife, Maureen, Henry Hollifield and his wife, Helen, and Dewey Carl Hollifield and his wife, Revonda, all of Asheville.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
