Kenneth Eugene Gasperson, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Mission Hospital.

Mr. Gasperson was born in Asheville, NC to the late Roy and Edna Bailey Gasperson. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Pat Jackson (John) and Betty Jo Shipman (Cricket) and one brother, Don Gasperson (Doris).

Kenneth was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Arden. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to church.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Connie Jackson Gasperson; two sons, Brian Gasperson (Judy) and Roy Gasperson; four grandchildren, Brandon Gasperson, Stephanie Flowers, Felicia Gasperson and Brittany Gasperson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association; www.heart.org

  3. Our hearts are heavy for the family and loss of our brother in Christ Kenneth Gasperson. He was a great witness to many during our prison ministry. His heart of gold has touched many including us, always willing to help with kindness and great smile. We love and miss him dearly.

  6. Connie, I’m sorry for your loss, but we know where Ken is today. He is with The LORD! Praise God we will see him again soon! I really appreciated Ken’s friendship and help with my mail jeep so many times! He was a great mechanic! I’ll never forget him. Praying for you during this time!
