Judith Pardue Pedersen

Judith Pardue Pedersen, 82, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

A native of Memphis, TN, Judith was a daughter of the late Harry and Freddy Curtis Pardue. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Pardue Breazeale Bretz.

Mrs. Pedersen worked in hospitality at the Biltmore Estate for 25 years. She was also a dedicated member of West Asheville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Pedersen; daughter, Christy Duyck (Fred Duyck); son, Patrick Evans (Karen Evans); sister, Dorothy Duncan; and brother, Charles Pardue.

Her family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Pastors Tyler Smith and Tony Hooper will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorials be made to the Red Cross, WNC Chapter, 100 Edgewood Rd., Asheville, NC 28804, or to the WNC Bridge Foundation, 294 Overlook Rd., Asheville, NC 28803 (formerly the CarePartners Foundation).
