Joyce Alberta Strope Posey, 72, formerly of 108 North Blue Ridge, Black Mountain, died
Friday, January 21, 2000.
Mrs. Posey was born in Bay City, MI, and was a daughter of the late Earl and Lelia Close Strope. She worked at the Buncombe County Health Department for 30 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Banks of Asheville, and three sons, Chuck Posey of New York, Gene Posey of Homosassa, FL, and Tim Posey of Fredrick CO., and a sister, June Baker.
A memorial service will be 4:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald N. Welborn officiating.
