John "Les" Sharpe

Candler- John Leslie “Les” Sharpe, 93, of Candler, passed away October 18, 2018 at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek. A native of Greensboro, NC, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Lewis Sharpe. John was a proud United States Marine veteran serving during WW II. He is survived by three daughters, Julia Sharpe of Candler, Crystal Sharpe of Moore, SC and Becky O’Kelley and her husband, Steve (who was like a son to Les), of Fletcher; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
